Agodi Gardens is a good place for relaxation and picnics, located in the city of Ibadan. It serves as a park and zoological gardens, with lush surroundings, a mini zoo, and a swimming pool. The cocoa house was completed in 1965 and holds the record of the first skyscraper in West Africa. It is managed by Wemabod Estates Limited, a subsidiary of the O’dua group of companies. It was built with proceeds from agricultural commodities like Cocoa, rubber, cotton, etc. This house comprises 26 stories with a height of 105 meters. In the year 1985, the house was gutted by fire as a result of an electrical fault, but it has since been renovated and open for use commercially. Mapo Hall was built by the colonial master and commissioned in 1929 by Captain Ross. It is located at Mapo Hill and can be seen from different parts of Ibadan city. The structure underwent renovations in 2006 and was commissioned on September 6, 2007, by Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s former president. It was designed by Engineer Robert Jones.
