Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Federation of
International Football Association (FIFA) have reached an
agreement in principle for the AFCON 2025 to hold in the summer.
The timing of the AFCON has always been an issue mostly with
European clubs who have to be without key African players.
The tournament is always staged between January and February and
has led to criticisms by owners of top European club owners and
coaches.
Meanwhile, the qualifiers for the AFCON 2025 will begin in March
2024 with preliminary round.
