Where to stay

FIFA 2030 hotels guide

Price bands, best areas, and booking timing across the six main host cities.

Madrid, Spain

Book by 12 months before your match date

Budget

€80–130/night

Mid

€150–250/night

Premium

€300–600+/night

Best area: Salamanca or Argüelles

Stay near Bernabéu if attending matches there — Metro Line 10 goes directly to the stadium. Prices within 1km of the stadium will be highest during match weeks.

Barcelona, Spain

Book by 12 months before your match date

Budget

€90–140/night

Mid

€160–280/night

Premium

€320–700+/night

Best area: Eixample or Gràcia

Avoid Las Ramblas — noisy, overpriced, pick-pocket heavy. Eixample has excellent mid-range options with easy Metro access to Camp Nou.

Casablanca, Morocco

Book by 9 months before your match date

Budget

$40–70/night

Mid

$80–150/night

Premium

$180–400/night

Best area: Gauthier or Maarif

Casablanca hotels offer the best value of any FIFA 2030 host city. Gauthier is clean, safe and well-served by taxis — book early as international interest will be higher than any previous African football event.

Marrakech, Morocco

Book by 9 months before your match date

Budget

$35–60/night (guesthouse)

Mid

$80–180/night

Premium

$200–500/night (riad with pool)

Best area: Medina (riad) or Gueliz

Riads in the Medina are the authentic Marrakech experience — beautifully decorated, quiet courtyards, though navigating the narrow streets is part of the adventure. First-timers may prefer the modern Gueliz district.

Lisbon, Portugal

Book by 10 months before your match date

Budget

€70–110/night

Mid

€130–220/night

Premium

€280–550+/night

Best area: Chiado or Príncipe Real

Lisbon prices are significantly lower than Madrid or Barcelona. Chiado is central with excellent restaurants and a 15-minute Metro ride to Estádio da Luz.

Porto, Portugal

Book by 10 months before your match date

Budget

€60–90/night

Mid

€110–180/night

Premium

€220–450+/night

Best area: Baixa or Ribeira

Porto is the cheapest of the European host cities. Baixa is central and well-connected; Ribeira (waterfront) is beautiful but tourist-heavy in summer.

Booking tips

Book refundable rates now

Until the fixture schedule confirms which matches are in which cities, book cancellable rates. Most platforms allow free cancellation up to 2–3 days before arrival.

Avoid non-refundable rates yet

Non-refundable rates are tempting for the discount, but if your match moves city or your dates change, you're stuck. Wait for the schedule before committing.

Consider apartments

For groups of 4 or more, serviced apartments are often cheaper than equivalent hotel rooms and give you a kitchen — useful for breakfast and reducing food spend.

Check stadium distance

Not all hotel locations are equal on matchday. Confirm the Metro or bus route from your hotel before booking — walking-distance hotels command a premium and sell out first.

Travel between cities

If you're doing Spain + Morocco, you need hotels in both. RibbonsXP packages coordinate this as one booking.

Hotels included in packages

All RibbonsXP FIFA 2030 packages include accommodation sourced and confirmed as part of the booking — one invoice, we manage the hotel.
