Common questions
Matchday eSIM FAQs
Do I need a new physical SIM card?
No. An eSIM is a digital SIM built into most phones from the last few years — you scan a QR code and it's active. No queueing at the airport, no swapping trays, and your regular number stays on standby for calls and texts.
Does one eSIM work across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania?
Yes — the Tournament and Pamoja Unlimited plans are built for fans moving between all three host countries, so you're not buying a new SIM every time you cross a border.
Is my phone compatible?
Most iPhones from the XS onward, and most Android flagships from the last few years (Samsung, Google, Huawei and others), support eSIM. We'll confirm compatibility with you before you're charged.
Can I add an eSIM without booking a full package?
Yes. Use the request-a-quote form and select "Connectivity / eSIM" under what you need — you don't have to book flights or hotels through us to add one.
What happens if I run out of data?
You can top up from your phone at any point during your trip — no need to visit a shop or find a local agent.
