Requirements by host country

Kenya

Visa on arrival at Nairobi or e-visa at evisa.go.ke. Fee: $51 USD. Ghanaian passport holders are generally approved quickly.

Uganda

Visa on arrival at Entebbe or e-visa online. Fee: $50 USD.

Tanzania

Visa on arrival at DAR or e-visa. Fee: $50 USD.

East Africa Tourist Visa

East Africa Tourist Visa ($100) covers Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. Recommended if visiting more than one host country.

  • Apply for the East Africa Tourist Visa if visiting Kenya and Uganda — saves money vs two separate visas
  • Tanzania requires a separate visa regardless
  • Apply at least 2 weeks before travel
